Our New Office

I’ve been at it again. I was so sick of looking at our basic and unappealing office that I decided it was time to get it done properly. Most of the furnishings were already there so I didn’t have to buy much. I focused on dressing the room more than completely re-vamping the full thing. It also meant I was able to do it on a relatively cheap budget too! If you have space in your house, I think its such a good idea to make up a little office. For us it has so many benefits; Ross can get his uni work done, I can write blog posts, I have space and resources to organise all our admin and you never know, it might be a full time office one day! I’ve linked all the items with the exact product or something similar if you are interested. Bedroom Re-Vamp

I never really minded our bedroom. I hadn’t changed it since we moved in two years ago and always kept it simple and neutral. When we first moved in I chose a Paris themed wallpaper for the room, simply because we got engaged there and I was still hanging onto the memory. When we got back from our honeymoon on Tuesday, Ross walked into the room and said ‘I hate that wallpaper’. Sometimes grey can be draining but this paper has a silver design that when the light hits, it really brightens up. The white furniture and frames stand out perfectly against the darker wall.   When shopping for some accessories we went for a splash of colour with yellow, green and silver. Its very easy for us to change the colour input this way as all I would need to do …

Flying the Nest

Good Evening folks! Over the last few weeks I have spoken to people who have recently moved out from their parents home and ventured into the world, alone. It wasn’t until then that I realised how many of us secretly struggle to deal with the change, so I decided to tell you guys how it affected me. You never know, I might make someone feel a little bit better! Its just short of 18 months since I flew the nest and went solo with Ross. We were extremely lucky that instead of having to rent for a few years we could go ahead and mortgage our own property. At 21, it’s not a common occurrence and you don’t realise how much of a big commitment it is until you’re signing on the dotted line to say your liable for thousands of pounds. We had wanted to get our own place for some time but our engagement in December 2015 hurried things along slightly. Applying for a mortgage has to be THE MOST stressful thing I’ve …
