Get Christmas Ready with The Nelson’s

It’s my favourite time of year! There’s nothing better than filling your home with sparkle, lights and more candle’s than usual. This year I got a few new bits for the house and thought I would put it all together for you incase you needed any inspiration for your home too. I linked as many of the products I could. One of my dreams is to have a massive 12ft tree in a beautiful bay window. However, until then I love my 6ft basic tree. Our tree and the accessories were bought when we first moved into our home 2 years ago but the styles are still available. Tree // The Range Baubles // The Range Lights // Asda or Amazon * This year I picked up a few extra bits for our TV unit. I had my eye on the garland and light up star from The White Company but managed to find a cheaper substitute from Argos. It is basically the exact same, might not last as long but I’m happy with it regardless. …

Our New Office

I’ve been at it again. I was so sick of looking at our basic and unappealing office that I decided it was time to get it done properly. Most of the furnishings were already there so I didn’t have to buy much. I focused on dressing the room more than completely re-vamping the full thing. It also meant I was able to do it on a relatively cheap budget too! If you have space in your house, I think its such a good idea to make up a little office. For us it has so many benefits; Ross can get his uni work done, I can write blog posts, I have space and resources to organise all our admin and you never know, it might be a full time office one day! I’ve linked all the items with the exact product or something similar if you are interested. Shelf // Wilko Candle // Wilko Plant // Asda Picture // TK Maxx Notepad // Wilko Desk // Ikea Chair // WayFair Computer // Acer @ PC …

Bedroom Re-Vamp

I never really minded our bedroom. I hadn’t changed it since we moved in two years ago and always kept it simple and neutral. When we first moved in I chose a Paris themed wallpaper for the room, simply because we got engaged there and I was still hanging onto the memory. When we got back from our honeymoon on Tuesday, Ross walked into the room and said ‘I hate that wallpaper’. Well, that sent a train in motion and we spent the next two days wallpapering and dressing the room. This time round we went for a darker, grey wallpaper for behind the bed. Sometimes grey can be draining but this paper has a silver design that when the light hits, it really brightens up. The white furniture and frames stand out perfectly against the darker wall.   When shopping for some accessories we went for a splash of colour with yellow, green and silver. Its very easy for us to change the colour input this way as all I would need to do …

TK-MAXX Haul

If you know me well enough, you will know how much I LOVE a trip to TK-MAXX. I’m constantly online looking at home interior pages on Insta or Pinterest, and I can honestly say, TK-MAXX is one of the best places to pick up home accessories at a low-cost. I will be honest though, I’m not that great at putting bits and bobs together, but I do try. I managed to pick up a few little beauties during the post christmas clearance and wanted to share them with you. Oh, and if you have any better ideas on how to style them, please drop me a comment. Marble Frame with Silver Detailing // SALE £5 Mirror Candle Tray // £19 Hand Soap // SALE £1 Patterned Dish // SALE £2 I love the little black and white dish so much I’m going to try to go back to pick up a few more, to use for dips and nibbles when we have friends over. Or I might just use it as a cute little jewellery …
